Simply stated, EHE believes that the best approach to healthcare is recognizing the differences in individuals’ health needs. For this reason, our program is “all-inclusive” thereby removing the financial and approval barriers typically found in other programs.  Within our scope of services and without additional cost, employees have unlimited access to program components and resources to help ensure the highest-level of engagement between the employee and healthcare practitioners. Who benefits from EHE International's services?

EHE International’s services benefit both the employee and the employer.

  • Employee. As a healthcare consumer, employees develop confidence in knowing that his/her personal health is coordinated and managed by a preventive health specialist who delivers personalized care and attention.
  • Employer. The employer enjoys a more productive and healthy employee while healthcare claims costs are contained by virtue of early diagnosis and real preventive activity.
  • Health Plan. Any health plan whose member accesses EHE benefits from a more conscious consumer/patient and is able to conduct pre-disease management rather than waiting for catastrophic events to happen.
  • Primary Care and Specialist Providers. Practitioners who have relationships with patients accessing EHE services benefit from comprehensive patient care management done in collaboration with the provider.

Without employee engagement, preventive health and wellness programs are simply window-dressing.  Beyond our medical and behavioral expertise, we have expertise in the active promotion of preventive health to employees.  EHE International actively promotes  program availability and benefits to your employees designed to drive engagement—and responsibility.

Through our recording and data collection capabilities of clinical findings and assessments, our preventive health program identifies the true health of a company’s employee population.  With this information, we are well-positioned to coordinate employee care with other program offerings, e.g., employee-assistance and disease management programs--and employers have a valued resource for use in its assessment of traditional medical claims expense.

With the continuing rise in medical plan expense, how can I justify adding yet another healthcare cost?

In 2001, the cost of healthcare in the U.S. was $1.4 trillion and if we continue to ignore the need to change our approach to healthcare, by 2011 that cost is projected to be $2.8 trillion.  The U.S. system of healthcare has been, and remains, focused on the treatment of disease through advances in medicine and technology vs. the cost-effective delivery and promotion of prevention.  With approximately 75% of all medical expense attributed to preventable disease, we must change our approach, and our attitude, toward prevention.

The cost of preventive healthcare must be viewed as an investment toward reducing current expense rather than viewed as an additional expense.  As with other business investments, a preventive health investment must be monitored and measured over time to assess its return.  In the case of health, the ROI is measured both in terms of reduced or avoided medical claims expense, and improvements in employee personal health and its by-products of improved productivity and reduced absenteeism.
